Fire Safety
9/2/2022 (Permalink)
Right now is the perfect time to get with family and friends and have a nice camp fire. Here are a few safety tips:
- If you or someone in your family likes to grill, make sure to use long-handled barbecue tools.
- Only use your grill outside and keep it away from siding and deck rails.
- Clean your grill after each use. This will remove grease that can start a fire.
- Open your gas grill before lighting.
- Never leave your grill unattended.
- Keep a 3-foot safe zone around grills, fire pits and campfires.
- Attend public fireworks displays; this leaves the lighting to the professionals.
- Build campfires at least 15 feet away from tent walls, shrubs or other materials that burn.
